Reduction in air pollution and smog due to measures taken by Punjab government

Timely results of measures taken to deal with smog and air pollution began to be received. In Lahore, the air quality index dropped to 231.

According to details, due to timely measures taken by the Punjab government, air pollution and smog have started decreasing. Air pollution has also decreased in Karachi and many other cities.

Kot Lakhpat recorded the highest AQI 387 in Lahore. 319 in Fatehgarh, 303 in Bahria Orchard, 293 in Gulbark, 270 in Model Town and 269 in DHA-8. The air quality index was recorded at 265 in Township and 261 in Thokar Niaz Beg.

It is to be noted that according to the classification of Air Quality Index, pollution from 151 to 200 degrees indicates unhealthy pollution, pollution from 201 to 300 degrees indicates extremely unhealthy and more than 301 degrees of dangerous pollution.
