UN puts pressure on India to stop genocide in Occupied Kashmir: All Parties Hurriyat Conference

SRINAGAR : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing on innocent civilians by the occupying Indian Army in Sopore area of ​​Baramulla district in which three innocent people were killed. Citizens have been martyred.

 

According to Kashmir Media Service, the spokesperson of the All Party Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar paid homage to the martyrs of Sopore and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

 

He said that the occupying Indian army has created an atmosphere of fear and terror in the region. He said that genocide under the guise of black laws has become a norm in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

 

He said that forcible detention, desecration of women and destruction of residential houses were being used as a war strategy to suppress the peaceful and legitimate struggle of the freedom-loving Kashmiris for the right to self-determination.

 

The spokesperson lauded the bravery and determination of the Kashmiri people, especially the people of Sopore, and reiterated his commitment to bring the resistance movement to its logical conclusion. “This is the only way to pay true homage to our martyrs,” he said. The Hurriyat spokesman urged the UN Secretary General and the UN Human Rights Council to take note of the ongoing killings, forced detentions, desecration of women and destruction of property by the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The spokesman called on the United Nations to assist in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and to put pressure on India to stop genocide and human rights violations in the occupied territories.
