Champions Trophy: England win toss, opt to bat against South Africa

KARACHI: England won the toss and opted to bat first against South Africa in the second-last group stage match of the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025.

The second-last group stage match is being played at the National Bank Stadium, the last of the tournament’s fixtures to be hosted in Karachi.

England’s top order crumbled as South Africa’s Jansen struck thrice, dismantling openers Phil Salt, Ben Duckett and youngster Jamie Smith, all within the first 10 overs.

The Englishmen were 68-3 by 10.4 overs.
