A citizen crushed a policeman when he stopped at Peshawar Toll Plaza

PESHAWAR : At a toll plaza in Peshawar, a citizen crushed a policeman when he signaled to stop.

According to details , the police said that the Peshawar Motorway Police had tried to stop the vehicle near Mardan. Instead of stopping, the driver drove over the officer.

According to police officials, the vehicle was coming from Islamabad to Peshawar. The driver was arrested by Chamkani police. The accused Junaid, 26, is a resident of Islamabad.

According to sources, the motorway policeman is undergoing treatment at LRH Hospital where his condition is said to be critical.

The accused told the police that the accident took place due to brake failure of the vehicle while according to the information obtained from the Motorway Police Control, the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 160 kmph which the driver tried to stop. Drove over the officer.

ASP Chamkani said that an FIR would be registered after a letter from the motorway police.
