Asian Development Bank approves 235 million loan for Pakistan

According to a statement issued by the Asian Development Bank, the loan is being given for the upgradation of 222 km National Highway N55 Shikarpur Rajanpur. Shikarpur Rajanpur section will be increased from two lanes to four lanes under the project.

The statement said that the upgrade of N55 would be carried out under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor. The highway upgrade aims to connect Karachi and Gwadar ports to economic hubs.

The statement said that after the disbursement of the loan, the work of upgrading of 222 km National Highway N55 Shikarpur Rajanpur would be started.
