An integrated network should be set up for the prevention of diseases : President

President Dr. Arif Alvi, while emphasizing the need for effective assistance to the victims of natural disasters and development of integrated network for prevention of diseases, said that timely provision of first aid could help save 59% of lives. Is.

He said that students in schools and colleges need to be given proper training in this regard. He was presiding over a meeting of the Managing Body of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society on Friday.

The meeting was attended by members of the Managing Body including Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Abrar-ul-Haq, Asif Bajwa, Dr. Irshad Muhammad and Dr. Modat Hussain Rana besides senior officials concerned. I gave a briefing on the role of Pakistan Red Crescent.

The meeting put forward various proposals to strengthen the organization in providing immediate assistance to the victims of natural disasters. On the occasion, the President stressed the need for better liaison between the Red Crescent, National Disaster Management Authority, Health Department and other government agencies so that timely and effective measures could be taken in case of sudden disasters.

He urged the Red Crescent to lead a donation drive to ensure the availability of blood for the needy. Also stressed.
