The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a bid to smuggle 125 kilograms of hashish to Qatar, said an ANF spokesperson.
The operation was conducted at Pakistan International Container Terminal in Karachi by the ANF officials.
The drugs were being smuggled abroad under the guise of vegetables and fruits export. The ANF recovered 125 kg hashish from a container booked for Doha, Qatar.
According to the spokesperson, the hashish was tactfully concealed in the layers of onions in the container. The consignment was booked for Doha, Qatar by a private company in Karachi.
Further investigation is underway by the ANF and other law enforcement agencies.
