Approval of 17 Inquiries of NAB Executive Board
The meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approved 17 inquiries.
Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal said that NAB has recovered Rs. 535 billion directly and indirectly from corrupt elements in the last three years which is a record achievement.
The NAB Executive Board has approved an inquiry against public office holders and legal persons in a fake bank account scandal.
The NAB has also approved an inquiry against the owners, directors and staff of Summit Bank Limited of the relevant Omni Group sugar mills in the fake bank account scandal.
In addition, NAB has appointed officers of OGDCL, Ishaq Malik Citi Housing Scheme Pvt. Air International Private Limited and others, Akbar Nasir Khan, former Chief Operating Officer Punjab Safe City Authorities have also approved the inquiry.
The meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau also approved the investigations against the management of the Oil and Gas Development Authority Company Limited.
