Approval of major projects for Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved eight major projects for the construction and development of Islamabad.

 

The 53rd meeting of the Capital Development Working Group was held in Islamabad today. The meeting was informed that the Islamabad Bus Service project would be completed by February 2022 at a cost of Rs 873 million.

 

The meeting was informed that 115 public toilets at different places of the city would be completed in six months at a cost of Rs 40 million. In addition, the meeting approved a cost of Rs 689 million for providing modern machinery to sanitation.

 

The meeting of the Capital Development Working Group approved the purchase of modern machinery at a cost of Rs 401 million to enhance the capacity of the MPO Directorate. In addition, approval was also given for construction and repair of highways at Ataturk Avenue, G5, G6 underpasses and Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk.

 

It was stated in the meeting that the feasibility of the Islamabad Smart City project would be completed at a cost of Rs 20 million. In addition, FM radio and YouTube channel were also approved for public convenience.
