2nd anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani being observed today

Second martyrdom anniversary of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani is being observed today.

Syed Ali Gilani embraced martyrdom in the custody of Indian police on September 01, 2021 at his Hyderpora residence where he remained under house detention for over a decade.

Imams and ulemas will remember the veteran leader in their special prayers at mosques.

Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world will hold protest demonstrations to draw attention of the international community towards the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has paid homage to the iconic Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani on the occasion of his second death anniversary.

In a statement on his X handle, the Prime Minister wrote that in the face of persecution and hardship, his commitment to the Kashmir Cause was unparalleled.

Special Assistant to Caretaker Prime Minister on Human Rights Mushaal Hussein Mullick has paid rich tributes to the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani on his second death anniversary, being observed today.

Addressing a seminar in Islamabad today, she said the struggle of Syed Ali Gilani for Kashmir cause would be remembered for a long time. She said Syed Ali Gilani was the man who remained steadfast to his ideals despite enduring trials and tribulations throughout his life.

The Special Assistant said the veteran Kashmiri leader highlighted the case of Kashmir at all international fora and exposed the Indian brutalities.

Mushaal Mullick said Syed Ali Gilani’s devotion, dedication and unwavering commitment to the noble cause of freedom would continue to inspire Kashmiris’ incoming generations.

She said Syed Ali Gilani was the pioneer of Kashmir freedom movement and he led the freedom struggle till the end of his life. She said the iconic leader remained steadfast like a rock on the principled and historical stance of right to self-determination.

Mushaal Mullick urged the entire nation, the Kashmiris living in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the world over to be united and take the mission of great Kashmiri leaders forward with the same spirit and passion and raise voice against the massive human rights violations by the Indian occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
