Markets open in Kandahar

In the Afghan city of Kandahar, life has returned to normal and markets for medicine and dried fruits have reopened, but the number of buyers is declining.


According to market officials, the prices of Pakistani medicines in the medicine market have increased dramatically while the supply of Indian and Iranian medicines has been affected.



The market union said that India had suspended transit trade with Afghanistan after the Taliban took control and was importing medicines from Pakistan.


The market union said that figs are the biggest business in the current season and the confidence of buyers at home and abroad has begun to recover.


He said that the banking system was affected and there were difficulties in money transactions.
