The Taliban conquered the Panjshir Valley

The Taliban have also won the last battle in Afghanistan, the Panjshir Valley, which is considered invincible, and raised the flag of victory.

This important announcement was made by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid. “We have finally conquered the Panjshir Valley and ended the war there,” he said. The people there are our brothers, there will be no retaliation against them.

Zabihullah Mujahid said some insurgents were killed in Panjshir while others had fled. We will not take any action against anyone but will work for the development of the country and the people.

It may be recalled that Ahmed Masood, the leader of Panjshir Valley, along with former Vice President Amrullah Saleh had started the war against the Taliban. “I am the son of Ahmad Shah Masood. I will shed the last drop of my blood to save my valley, but I will never surrender to the Taliban,” he said.

However, defense analysts called Ahmad Masood’s remarks “exaggerated” and made it clear that he would not be able to fight Taliban fighters for long. The Taliban will block the Panjshir Valley and exhaust them. They will eventually have to lay down their arms, facing a severe shortage of arms and food from the blockade.

Foreign media say that the resistance front formed in Panj Sher Valley had suffered heavy casualties yesterday. Ahmed Masood’s back was broken when two of his key commanders were killed during a fierce battle with the Taliban. He called for an immediate ceasefire and talks with the Taliban.

A message from the Resistance Front’s Twitter account confirmed that General Abdul Wadud Zara and key leader Fahim Dashti had been killed in the fight against the Taliban.

Fahim Dashti was believed to be a longtime ally of former Northern Alliance chief Ahmad Shah Massoud, while General Abdul Wadud Zara was a key military commander and adviser to the Resistance Front.
