Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visits Sialkot and Kotli

RAWALPINDI : Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Sialkot and Kotli.

 

According to ISPR, the Army Chief attended the closing ceremony of the ongoing corps-level military exercises in Sialkot. During the exercises, exercises were conducted on traditional combat operational issues, including defense operations. The Chief of Army Staff appreciated the demonstration of effective operational response strategy and commended the various response exercises in view of future challenges.

 

On arrival at Sialkot, Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Syed Asim Munir received the Army Chief. Later, the Army Chief attended the closing ceremony of the ongoing conquest of Jabal military exercises at the corps level near Kotli and observed the exercises. The Army Chief was apprised of the increase in operational readiness of the formation. The Chief of Army Staff was also briefed on various aspects of defense and offensive strategy.

 

Soldiers participating in the exercises met the Army Chief. On the occasion, the Commander-in-Chief appreciated the determination and courage of the soldiers and praised their professionalism. “Improving training is a key factor, keeping in mind the real and future factors,” the commander said. Operational readiness must continue to deal with any threat. On arrival at Kotli, Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Azhar Abbas received the Army Chief.
