ISLAMABAD : Former President Asif Ali Zardari has sought a month’s respite from the NAB over the New York Flat Inquiry.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari’s New York Flat Inquiry has received a reply from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Asif Zardari submitted the reply through his lawyer.

Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued a notice to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari seeking a reply on property in New York.

According to the NAB notice sent on June 15, apparently no money was sent from Pakistan to buy property in New York.

Asif Ali Zardari has approached the Islamabad High Court for bail. In the petition, Zardari took the position that he should be given time to gather information. “I have a number of illnesses and are being treated,” he said.

He also demanded that the notice be declared illegal.

The National Accountability Bureau had said in a notice sent to Asif Zardari that he has an apartment in Manhattan New York, which was not disclosed in Pakistan. Apparently no legal money was sent from Pakistan to buy this apartment.
