Balochistan: Cantonment Board local body elections, ban on mobile phones in polling stations

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has banned cantonment boards from carrying mobile phones inside polling stations in Balochistan.

According to the statement, Balochistan Provincial Election Commissioner Muhammad Raziq has said that as per the instructions issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, carrying mobile phones inside the polling stations will be prohibited in the local body elections of Cantonment Board. Any voter or polling agent Cannot be taken inside the station, however the Presiding Officer and Assistant Presiding Officers will be exempted.

Polling for the cantonment board local body elections in three districts of Balochistan will be held on September 12.
