Chief Minister announces aid for Bahawalnagar blast victims

LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has announced financial assistance for the families of those killed and injured in the Bahawalnagar blast. Rs 10 lakh will be given to the families of those killed.

In a statement issued from Lahore, Usman Bazdar said that those severely injured in the Bahawalnagar blast would get Rs 5.5 lakh while 11 injured would get Rs 1 lakh each.

He said that financial assistance is not a substitute for any human life, only those who have lost their loved ones in the world know their grief. The sympathies of the Punjab government are with the families of the deceased and the injured.

He further said that the incident was being investigated and the accused would not be able to escape punishment.
