Despite the Pandemic , Pakistan’s economy has improved says Dr Alvi

ISLAMABAD : President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that despite the COVID Pandemic , Pakistan’s economy has improved, tax collection and increase in exports show better performance of the economy.
According to details, a delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry called on President Dr. Arif Alvi.
During the meeting, President Arif Alawi said that the government is committed to a fair business environment and a sustainable economy, the government is taking steps for the business and the weaker sections.
The President said that the government had provided a historic package of Rs 1.2 trillion to the business and the weaker sections of the society. Increased tax collection and exports reflect better economic performance.

He said that during the last 10 months, the country’s exports increased by 13%, Pakistan’s exports exceeded 20 20 billion in the last 10 months. 143 billion more than the target of 3.6 trillion tax revenue.
The President further said that Pakistan’s business world ranking has risen from 136th to 108th position and the business community should play an active role in encouraging the payment of taxes.
