Ease of travel restrictions on those coming from Category B and C countries

Air travel policy for foreign travelers has been changed, Pakistan has further relaxed the travel restrictions and abolished the category B and C allotted for different countries with Omi Kron spread.

Vaccinated, foreigners and Pakistanis from any country can now come to Pakistan, negative PCR test report must be shown 48 hours before boarding, in some cases Pakistanis coming to Pakistan will get exemption from compulsory vaccination, new travel policy Implementation has begun.

The NCOC has issued a formal notification to abolish Category B and C. Passengers on flights from European countries will be subjected to 100% rapid test, with a minimum of one from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Passengers on less than 50% of flights will have a rapid test.

Passengers who come corona positive in rapid test will be quarantined for 10 days. Passengers who come corona positive will undergo PCR test on the eighth day.

Visas that expire, Pakistanis residing abroad illegally and those deported, for medical reasons, pregnant women and Pakistanis between the ages of 15 and 18 will be exempt from the mandatory vaccination policy.

Pakistani travelers between the ages of 15 and 18 will be allowed to come to Pakistan without the vaccine till February 15. A policy review meeting will be held on February 15 keeping in view the Corona situation.

The NCOC has directed to ensure maximum presence of rapid test kits and medical personnel at all airports, and the Ministry of National Health Services should ensure deployment of additional health staff at airports.

The federal and provincial administrations have also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Pakistani embassies and high commissioners abroad on priority basis.
