German Foreign Minister Meets Prime Minister

Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on the international community to show support and solidarity with the Afghan people.

Talking to German Foreign Minister Heikomas in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that immediate steps were needed for the security and economic stability of Afghanistan. A peaceful and stable Afghanistan is very important for Pakistan and the region.

The Prime Minister said that at this crucial juncture, it was important that the international community stay in touch with Afghanistan and cooperate with the Afghan people. The German Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for its cooperation in evacuating its citizens from Afghanistan. The Prime Minister said that the situation in Afghanistan was also discussed during his talks with the German Chancellor.

The Prime Minister expressed his determination to work with Germany for regional peace and stability.

The German Foreign Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the programs related to the 70th anniversary of Pakistan-Germany diplomatic relations.
