Inter-provincial meeting of education ministers, decision to conduct examinations for all classes under SOPs

ISLAMABAD : A meeting of inter-provincial education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood. Under the SOPs, it was decided to conduct examinations for all parties in any case.

The Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers, chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, announced the examinations after June 20. The committee meeting was attended by all the provincial education ministers and concerned secretaries. The committee examined in detail all possible options for conducting examinations across the country. The meeting also decided that there would be a limited number of summer vacations in educational institutions.

The committee directed all federal units to ensure timely vaccination of teachers, supervisory staff and other administrative staff. Those who do not have a vaccination certificate will not be called for invigilation. The meeting directed to issue early notification to the provinces on the issue of transfer of NCHD and BACS staff to the provinces after June 30 in the light of CCI decisions. The National Education Assessment Framework was also shared with the provinces in the Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers and was approved in principle.
