Karachi: 9 Muharram procession on fixed routes

KARACHI : The main procession of 9th Muharram in Karachi was recovered from Nishtar Park, which will continue through its traditional routes and will end at Imambargah Hussainiya Iranians in Kharadar.
Before the procession was recovered, Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi addressed the central assembly of 9th Muharram in Nishtar Park.
More than 5,000 police officers and men are deployed to guard the procession.
The participants of the procession will offer noon prayers at the mosque and Imambargah Ali Raza.
The streets and roads leading to the procession route have been sealed with containers for the security of the procession.
Police and Rangers personnel are also deployed on the buildings of the corridor, the bomb disposal squad of the procession corridor has searched.
Mobile phone service has also been suspended due to security concerns in the areas adjacent to the procession route.
More than 5,000 officers and men have been deployed to guard the procession, including women, SSU commandos and RRF men.
Snipers are also stationed on tall buildings along the procession route.
The procession is being monitored by CCTV from the command and control room.
Traffic on the procession route has been diverted to alternative routes.
