LAHORE : The Lahore High Court declared the printing of the national flag in different colors and printing on shirts as a violation of national dignity and also disposed of the petition.

 

The Lahore High Court has declared the printing of the national flag in different colors and printing on shirts as a violation of national dignity. Justice Ali Baqir Najafi issued a seven-page judgment.

 

The decision stated that under Section 123B of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860, the penalty for violating national dignity is three years.

 

It has been stated that the national flag of Pakistan has its own importance and history. The court in its decision also painted the image of the national flag.

 

The decision states that according to the protocol, the national flag should not be burnt, but should be saluted when the flag is hoisted or lowered.
