OTTAWA : The first Muslim judge has been nominated to the Supreme Court of Canada.
According to Canadian media, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has nominated Mahmoud Jamal as the first Muslim judge of the Supreme Court.
Mahmoud Jamal became a judge in the Ontario Court of Appeal in 2019.
