Minister Lipava will meet with his British counterpart David Lammy on November 14, 2024. The ministers will discuss the development of Czech-British relations, the conflict in Ukraine and current foreign policy issues.
They will then talk with the British Prime Minister’s national security advisor Tim Barrow about Czech-British cooperation in the foreign-political and security sphere and about current security challenges.
During the two-day visit, the head of Czech diplomacy will present the Gratias Agit award to historian and prominent figure of the Czechoslovak veteran community George Scott, and will participate in a discussion with University College London students on the topic of Czech foreign policy and the role of collective memory.
Minister Lipavský will also take part in the Magnitsky Human Rights Awards ceremony. Jan Lipavský received this award for contribution to the protection of human rights in 2022.
