On May 18, 2025, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský spoke at the opening of the international conference Stronger Together – Europe, Israel, and the Middle East in a Turbulent World, organized by the non-governmental organization The European Leadership Network (ELNET), which will take place on May 18 and 19, 2025 in Paris.

“Today, we are not only facing danger from terrorist groups. They are supported by states like Russia and Iran. And this is not just a short-term partnership – it is a dangerous alliance from which we can only expect wars in the future. And these wars will not stop at the borders of Ukraine or the Middle East,” Lipavský warned in his speech.

Minister Lipavský also emphasized that Israel is the Czech Republic’s most important partner in the Middle East, thanks to shared democratic values ​​and long-term historical friendship. Head of Czech diplomacy He added that the future of our security depends on deeper cooperation between democratic states in the areas of defense, cybernetics, innovation, and resilience to hybrid threats.
