On the occasion of the 35th anniversary, on November 17, 1989, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavský, will present the Medal for Merit in Diplomacy to seventeen domestic and foreign personalities and organizations.
The Minister will present this already traditional award on the occasion of the Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy. In addition to the awardees and guests, representatives of the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, governments and diplomatic representatives of a number of countries will also take part in the ceremony.
In previous years, for example, Madeline Albrightová, Karel Schwarzenberg, Magdalena Vašáryová or Michael Žantovský received the Medal for Merit in Diplomacy.
The list of laureates will be provided to accredited media in advance with an information embargo until the award of the medal. At the same time, we offer mediating interviews with award-winning personalities.
