ISLAMABAD : Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqadam murder case, was handed over to the police on a further three-day physical remand.

Zahir Zakir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqadam case, was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Shoaib Akhtar on completion of his two-day remand. The public prosecutor told the court that he had obtained CCTV videos of the incident, for which the accused had to be taken to Lahore for forensics. A further three days physical remand should be granted.

The lawyer of the accused said that if any forensic test is to be done, take a picture and get it done. Weapons and mobile phones have been recovered, the accused has been remanded in custody for 7 days so far. Why didn’t you forensicize CCTV videos during this time? No more physical remand.

The court granted the prosecution’s request for physical remand and handed over the accused to the police on physical remand for another three days. Noor Muqaddam’s father Shaukat Ali Muqaddam was also present in the court along with him during the hearing.
