Pakistan, China, Turkey and Qatar invited to attend swearing ceremony: Taliban

Russia has announced its conditional recognition of the Taliban government, saying it is ready to recognize it and take the oath of office if everyone is represented in its government.

Russia, in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once.

“We are also ready to attend the swearing-in ceremony of a government where everyone will be represented,” a statement from Russian officials said.

Al Jazeera quoted the Taliban official as saying that besides Russia, Pakistan, China, Turkey and Qatar had also been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden has said that it will take time to recognize the Taliban government.
