Pakistan closes Afghan border in view of Afghan situation: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD : Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid says Pakistan has closed the Afghan border in view of the Afghan situation.

Sheikh Rashid said, “We have already closed the Chaman border due to Corona. The shadow governor of Kandahar had demanded to keep the border open as in the past. He told him that this is not possible in the current situation.”

He said that today’s meeting of the Security Council is very important, let’s see what decision is taken in it, adding that Afghanistan has suffered more than the closure of the Chaman border.
