PSL Six, Karachi Kings beat Quetta Gladiators to reach playoffs

ABU DHABI : In the 29th match of PSL Six, Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs.

 

Karachi Kings have qualified for the playoffs. Lahore Qalandars failed to make it to the final four stage.

 

Quetta Gladiators scored 162 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed remained unbeaten on 51 runs.

 

Muhammad Ilyas took three wickets for Karachi Kings.

 

Earlier, Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 176 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

 

Sharjeel Khan of Karachi Kings scored 45 runs with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes. Babar Azam 23, Najibullah Zadran 12, Martin Guptill scored 5 runs. Captain Emad Waseem scored 5 runs and returned to Pauline.

 

Jack Welder Moth bowled the most expensive over of PSL, Danish Aziz hit Jack Welder Moth 3 sixes in a row in the 19th over and hit a six off nine balls. Jack Welder Moth scored 33 runs in one over.

 

Arash Ali Khan fielded 4 players for Quetta Gladiators in his debut match.

 

Danesh Aziz of Karachi Kings was declared the best player of the match. He played a lightning fast innings of 45 runs off just 13 balls with the help of  2 sixes and 5 fours.
