Rising spread of corona virus, annual preaching gathering banned in Swat

SWAT : Swat district administration has banned the three-day Tablighi Ijtema starting today in view of the growing spread of Corona virus, after which the organizers have also canceled the annual Ijtema. New dates for the Itema will be announced later.

According to details, the spokesperson of the district administration said that the three-day Tablighi Ijtema has been canceled after lengthy consultations and negotiations with the organizers of the Tablighi Ijtema. All preparations for the Tablighi Ijtema have been completed.

Hundreds of thousands of people attend the fast-paced gathering. The district administration had appealed to the organizers to cancel the gathering in view of the growing spread of corona virus. The gathering began on May 27 and ended on May 29 with a collective prayer. New meeting dates were to be announced later.
