Russia’s space missile test in space
The United States has strongly condemned Russia’s missile test of its satellite in space.
U.S. officials say the United States has not been notified of the ground-based missile strike and will respond after consulting with allies.
The State Department called the Russian move “irresponsible and dangerous” and said the test had scattered more than 1,500 large and millions of small pieces of satellite into space, threatening the interests of all nations.
On the other hand, a Pentagon spokesman said that Russia sees the potential as a threat to the security of other countries.
