Taliban assures Afghanistan will not be used against Pakistan: Sheikh Rashid

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that the Taliban has assured that the territory of Afghanistan will not be used against Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, Sheikh Rashid said, “We are praying for peace and stability in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is focused on the situation. The Afghan Taliban have assured that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used against Pakistan.” No decision has been made regarding Afghan refugees, so far we have issued visas to 4,000 people.

He said that international conspiracies were being hatched against C-Pak, some wearing gloves did not want C-Pak to move forward in Pakistan, adding that C-Pak had become more important due to the current situation in Afghanistan.

The Home Minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s politics could be improved because of Afghanistan. Both Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are in Pakistan. The time for Shahbaz Sharif to apply for permission to go abroad has expired.
