KARACHI : PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the basis of the budget is a lie and the numbers have been manipulated.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Shahid Khaqan said that the government was deceiving itself and not the people. The country’s economy is below the level of 2018. Show if there is a system to reduce prices in the new budget.

He said that the fourth finance minister of the present government delivered the budget speech, which is the same speech that Shaukat Tareen made as the finance minister of the PPP 12 years ago. That said, it is very easy to make a speech but the facts do not change.

He said that since the coming of Imran Khan’s government, new taxes of Rs. 1200 billion have been imposed, the revenue of 900 includes a surplus of Rs. 570 billion.

Shahid Khaqan said, the provinces will not spend, where will the provinces pay? Today, the federation is relying on the fact that the provinces will not work and there will be savings. There are new taxes of Rs 383 billion.
