The meeting of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will be held today

MUZAFFARABAD : The meeting of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will be held at 10 am today in the Assembly Hall, Muzaffarabad.
Incumbent Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir will administer oath to the newly elected members in the meeting, after which a new Speaker will be elected.
PTI leaders Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq and Khawaja Farooq are being nominated for the post of Azad Kashmir Assembly speaker. After the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, the election schedule for the Leader of the House will be issued.
It should be noted that the PTI has won the reserved seats for technocrats, clerics and overseas Kashmiris. After which the total number of PTI seats in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly has increased to 32.
The PPP has 12 seats in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly while the PML-N has seven seats.
