The ongoing barbarism against the Palestinians poses a serious threat to peace and order, says Foreign Minister

ISLAMABAD : Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has urged the international community that the barbarism inflicted on the Palestinians poses a serious threat to peace and order. Joint efforts must be made to address this new human tragedy.

 

According to details, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi hosted a dinner in honor of the foreign ministers who attended the emergency session of the UN General Assembly on Palestine.

 

The dinner was hosted at the Pakistani Embassy in New York. The dinner was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Palestine and Tunisia, as well as the President of the General Assembly Walker Bozkar and the Permanent Representatives of the OIC countries to the United Nations.

 

Addressing a reception on the occasion, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the barbaric attacks on unarmed Palestinians and serious human rights violations pose grave threats to law and order. He called for concerted efforts to address this new human tragedy.

 

The Foreign Minister briefed the distinguished guests on the diplomatic efforts made by Pakistan for the establishment of peace in Palestine. They also held detailed consultations to adopt a joint strategy in the emergency session of the UN General Assembly and to draw the attention of the international community to the plight of Palestine.

 

It should be noted that an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly regarding Palestine will be held soon. Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will express the sentiments of the Pakistani nation in the emergency session of the UN General Assembly and raise his voice in favor of the innocent Pa lestinians.
