Prices of oxygen cylinders in Peshawar’s Khyber Bazaar, Karachi Market, Hospital Road, Tehkal and other areas including Hayatabad have been increased spontaneously. After selling at 23,000, citizens say the government should take concrete steps to control the price of oxygen cylinders.

According to dealers, oxygen cylinders are imported from China and prices have gone up due to taxes. While the price of cylinders has gone up in the open market, the price of oxygen has also gone up by Rs 200 per cylinder, which is causing problems to isolated patients at home.
