ISLAMABAD : Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says he wants a solution to the problems of Pakistan, Palestine and Kashmir under Security Council resolutions.
A delegation led by Adil bin Abdul Rehman, President of the Arab Parliament, called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Foreign Ministry. He also spoke about the threats to peace in the region.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan wanted peace and stability in the Middle East and was committed to play a positive role in the unity of the world. We believe that a just solution to the Palestinian problem is essential for peace in the Middle East. Our economic priorities include fostering ties, building and developing partnerships, and striving for peace and stability.
He said that the ongoing human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Indian policies were threatening the peace of the region. He further said that Pakistan wants a peaceful solution to the issues of Palestine and Kashmir in the light of UN Security Council resolutions.
Shah Mehmood further said that there is a need for the international community to strongly condemn the unilateral, unconstitutional measures taken by India in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
