The United Arab Emirates delivered 60 tons of food and relief supplies to Afghanistan

The UAE delivered 60 tonnes of food and medicine relief supplies to Afghanistan.

 

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed that the UAE plane had landed at Kabul airport carrying relief supplies. The UAE has sent 60 tons of food and medicine.

 

It is believed that millions of people have been forced to flee the country due to years of war, but a large majority have become homeless and millions of people in the country are living in poverty.

 

 

The ongoing crisis in Afghanistan has left more than 5 million people homeless since 2012 and unable to return home.

 

According to the United Nations, Afghanistan has the third largest number of internally displaced people (IDPs) in the world.

 

The Corona virus epidemic has put a strain on Afghanistan’s national resources and made it difficult for people to access livelihoods after a nationwide lockdown.

 

According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, 30% of the country’s population is currently facing a food crisis.
