Tokyo Olympics, China top medal race, 3 more Pakistani athletes out of the game

TOKYO : The medal battle between the athletes at the Tokyo Olympics continues, with China leading the medal race, with three more Pakistani athletes failing to win medals.
Three more Pakistani athletes ended their journey at the Tokyo Olympics, with Pakistani shooters GM Bashir and Khalil Akhtar failing to qualify for the medal stage in the second round of the 25m rapid fire pistol.
In the first phase GM Bashir scored 293 points while in the second phase he got 286 points, Khalil Akhtar also scored 286 points in the second phase.
In the women’s two-meter race, Pakistani athlete Najma Parveen finished last.
China tops the points table with 24 gold ladles, while Indonesia won the gold medal in the women’s doubles badminto n event.
