Two members of the Sikh community were killed in a firing incident in Peshawar

Unidentified assailants shot dead two people in Sarband area of Peshawar police station. The dead belong to Sikh community. The suspects managed to escape after the attack, which is being searched in the area.

The important evidence has been collected from the scene. Surrounding CCTV cameras are also being checked.

According to the news, the attack took place in Batta till Bazaar within the limits of Sarband police station. The deceased have been identified as Saljit Singh, 42, and Ranjit Singh, 38. Security officials said that human intelligence was being used to reach the suspects and the culprits would be identified soon.

According to rescue teams, the bodies have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for postmortem. “the victims have spice shops in Bata Til Bazaar” Sources said.

A notice has also been taken by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on the incident. In his condemnation statement, the Chief Minister said that the incident was highly reprehensible and regrettable. The elements involved in the murder will never escape the grip of the law.

The Chief Minister KP has directed the Inspector General of Police to take immediate action against those involved in the murder.
