LAHORE : Under Usman Bazdar, the expenses of the Chief Minister’s Office were reduced by 40%.
Governor House Lahore outperformed everyone at low cost. According to sources, a new record of austerity was set in the governorship of Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
According to sources, only Rs 2 million was spent in the Governor’s House during the year 2012. A sum of Rs. 13.6 million was saved in the funds of Rs. 15.6 million for Governor House Lahore. Sources said that the Governor Punjab has directed the Governor House administration to further reduce the expenditure.
After Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar became the governor, the guests also get only tea and biscuits. According to sources, Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar checks the expenses of the Governor House on a monthly basis.
The Punjab Chief Minister’s Office also released a report comparing the expenditure of Shahbaz Sharif’s tenure as Chief Minister, according to which 35 to 50 per cent more provincial resources were saved during the tenure of Usman Bazdar.
