US refuses to recognize Taliban government

The Americans refused to recognize the Taliban government in Afghanistan. US President Joe Biden says recognizing the Taliban government is a long way off.

On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Taliban would accept if everyone was represented in the government.

The Afghan Taliban announced the formation of a new government in Afghanistan, naming the prime minister and cabinet.

During a news conference in the Afghan capital Kabul, Zabihullah Mujahid said that Mohammad Hassan Akhund would be the caretaker Prime Minister of Afghanistan. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will be the Deputy Prime Minister of the caretaker government Mohammad Hassan Akhund.
