According to ISPR, the Standing Committee on Defense and Kashmir Affairs visited the GHQ. The parliamentary delegation was briefed on the border and security situation. Ongoing efforts of Pakistan Army for peace and stability were also part of the briefing. The parliamentary delegation had a long meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. The Army Chief highlighted the importance of regional connectivity. He reiterated the support and commitment of Pakistan Army for Kashmir cause and Kashmiri people.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that despite timely measures and all challenges, the borders of Pakistan are safe today. With the support of the nation, the country has achieved unprecedented success in normalizing the situation. Pakistan took timely steps to manage the border in the western region.
