WKAF condemns life sentence awarded to Yasin Malik

The World Kashmir Awareness Forum has condemned the life imprisonment sentence to Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik on concocted charges by Indian court.

In a statement in Washington, the Forum said Muhammad Yasin Malik is one of the most fearless, influential and revered leader of Kashmir, who has spent most of his life in resisting Indian state violence in the territory.

The Forum urged international community, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to condemn Yasin Malik’s life sentence and demand his unconditional immediate release from the prison.
