RAWALPINDI : Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid says that for the first time in Punjab, there were less than one thousand corona cases yesterday.

 

The number of people recovering in hospitals is higher than the number of visitors, the provincial minister told a press conference on Sunday. We have to live with the epidemic now, it is very important that everyone wears a mask.

 

He said that Corona patients are treated free of cost, 447 ventilators are in use in teaching hospitals and more than 30% beds are vacant in Lahore. He said that no complaint of patients was received from Rawalpindi.

 

He said that injections of 1,000 acetamide have been ordered, 2,000 beds have been added in hospitals, adding that efforts are being made to provide oxygen generators. People in India are begging for oxygen.

 

Yasmeen Rashid further said, one thing is requested from the people to be careful, if we are not careful then the problem may increase. He said that he heard many taunts and satires on vaccination that it is a charitable vaccine. More than 2.8 million people have been vaccinated in Punjab. The target is to reach 140,000 vaccinations daily in the month of May.
