A further 75 deaths were reported by Corona across the country, with 2,726 new cases reported

ISLAMABAD : In the last 24 hours, 75 more people have died and 2,726 cases have been reported. The total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan is 20,540 while the number of people infected with corona is 9. 11 lakh 302.

According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 831,744 Pakistanis have succumbed to the deadly virus, while 59,018 patients are still being treated across the country. Punjab is the largest province in terms of corona victims and deaths where a total of 337,073 people were confirmed to be infected with corona virus, 9,899 people lost their lives to the deadly virus while 36,549 recovered ۔ There are 20,625 active cases in the province.

In Sindh, 313,059 people fell victim to corona out of which 4,966 people died, 284,695 people succumbed to the deadly virus while 23,398 people are active cases. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the deadly virus was confirmed in 131,027 people out of which 121,517 people recovered, 5,501 patients are still undergoing treatment while 4,099 people in the province died due to the deadly virus.

In the federal capital Islamabad, corona was confirmed in 80,779 people, 73,217 people were recovered, 751 people died while there were 6,811 active cases. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 5,533 corona cases were reported, 5,324 people were recovered, 107 people died while there are 102 active cases.

In Balochistan, corona cases were reported in 24,823 people, 273 deaths occurred while 23,501 were recovered, while 1,049 patients are still undergoing treatment in the province. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 19,008 people fell victim to the deadly virus, 146,941 recovered and 535 people died. There are 1,532 active cases of corona in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
