Economic murder of journalists will not be tolerated under any circumstances : RIUJ President

The Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) staged a peaceful protest in front of Malik Riaz’s house in which a large number of journalists from the Twin Cities participated.

 

Journalists protested against the closure of Indus News Channel and non-payment of dues of Aap News. RIUJ President Shakeel Ahmed said that the media worker associated with Indus News should be reinstated The arrears should be paid. Economic murder of journalists will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If media workers are not rehabilitated, the scope of protest will be widened. Rana Rizwan Arshad Senior Vice President Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists said that Malik Riaz He is a social figure. All other businesses should be shut down due to which the media has made Malik Riaz a famous person of the country. And if our comrades are not reinstated, a nationwide movement will be launched to expand the scope of the protest and the economic murder of our journalist brothers will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

 

GM Jutt also addressed the protest and demanded that the media worker associated with Indus News be reinstated and the arrears of AAP News workers be paid.

 

A large number of other journalists including Shabir Mughal, Mudassar Ilyas Kayani, Chaudhry Abid, Chaudhry Azhar, Syed Yasin Hashmi, Raja Liaquat, Qasim Munir, Qasim Jamshed, Malik Junaid, Babar Bhatti, Malik Shabir and Raja Hameed participated in the protest. Imran Mani, Muneeb, Israr Kazmi, Shahbaz Nar, Munir Gul, Bilal Butt, Sarfraz Butt, Tayyab, Faisal Mirza, Mirza Rizwan Baig, Liaquat Chaudhry, Sardar Owais and other journalists participated in large numbers and demanded that journalists not be laid off.
