Kashmir Premier League Joins Hands With Muslim Hands

Today the Kashmir Premier League organized a Signing Event in Islamabad with Muslim
Hands as CSR Partner. KPL aims to align the societal development with the cricketing activity creating a
platform which would positively encompass the people and land of Kashmir.
Kashmir Premier League signed MOU today with “Muslim Hands” as its CSR Partner. Muslim Hands is an
international charity organization that is working in more than 50 countries worldwide intending to
transform the lives unprivileged communities by focusing on orphan sponsorship, education, water,
health, livelihoods, street Children & emergency response.
Mr Arif Malik – President KPL mentioned “Our team is aiming to bring a transformation in the region
through development and CSR projects that would help the local community of Kashmir. We are looking
forward to working with local and international organizations for the betterment of people and endorse
the Kashmir cause”. Muslim hands Pakistan Country Director – Syed Zia Noor Shah mentioned that “The
political stability in Kashmir has suppressed the rights of Kashmiris living across the Border. There’s a
need for a project that would help to display how different is Azad Kashmir from Indian Occupied
Kashmir. KPL will display a soft image of the region and will also help the localities through CSR projects.
We are more than happy to play our part in this noble cause to boost the development of the region and
promote its cause globally.” He was also accompanied by Muslim Hands Pakistan Operations Director –
Syed Javid Gillani who also shared his thoughts that “We in our best possible capacity are willing to work
for the initiative launched by KPL to help the local community of Kashmir through development projects
for the unprivileged.”
The KPL management has announced that it will be promoting Muslim Hands Organization on shirt logos
and sponsor food drives and other CSR projects.
On this event Ch. Shahzad Akhtar CEO – KPL, shared his thoughts and highlighted the importance of KPL
for the Kashmiri Community and it will definitely help promote sports, culture and tourism in Kashmir
and will also conduct societal development projects for the region. He was accompanied by other
designated guests including Azhar Mahmood – Chief Selector of KPL and Saeed Ajmal – Selector KPL who
also endorsed the initiatives taken by KPL related to its CSR Projects.
Kashmir premier league is a T20 league which comprises of 6 teams entitled as Rawalakot Hawks, Kotli
Panthers, Mirpur Royals, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Overseas Warriors and Bagh Stallions. The event will be
executed in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur and Rawalpindi Cricket grounds from 1st to 10th April 2021. This
league is an initiative to promote the domestic Cricket in Pakistan and highlight the talent and natural
magnificence of Kashmir.
