Pak-Saudi defense cooperation will have a positive impact on peace in the region : COAS Qamar Bajwa

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has called for enhanced defense cooperation between the Pak-Saudi Armed Forces, saying that it would have a positive impact on peace in the region.

According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed said this during a meeting with Saudi Chief of General Staff during his visit to Saudi Arabia. The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest and the security situation in the region.

The meeting also discussed the progress in the Afghan peace process and the issues of further enhancing defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.:

According to the Public Relations Department, the Chief of the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for his sentiments and assured him of full cooperation for peace in the region.

It may be recalled that General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army, had arrived in Saudi Arabia on an official visit yesterday.

On the other hand, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Saudi Arabia on the 25th of Ramadan, where he will meet the Saudi leadership and enjoy Umrah.

On the occasion of his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will offer special prayers for the nation and the Muslim Ummah.

During the press conference, Fawad Chaudhry said that the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia is very important, it will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia is already scheduled, he is going to visit Saudi Arabia at the special invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
